About
Written from practice, not from a showroom
Savvy Interior Design is a set of working notes kept by Marianne Feld, written up because the same problems kept recurring across different rooms.

There is no shop attached to this and nothing here is sponsored. Where a category of thing is recommended it is because it solved a recurring problem, and the recommendation is to the category rather than to a brand.
The notes are deliberately practical: measurements, heights, sequences and the order decisions should be made in. There is very little about style, because style is the part people already have opinions about and the part that matters least to whether a room works.
If something here is wrong or has stopped being true, it gets rewritten rather than left up. These are working notes, and working notes are supposed to change.
